Ed Johnston
Ed Johnston is a multimedia designer, artist, and educator working in a variety of contexts involving interactive design and three-dimensional digital technologies. He is an Assistant Professor for the Robert Busch School of Design at Kean University. Ed has received numerous awards and grants including an Editor’s Choice Award, World Maker Faire New York 2013; the YAP Grant from the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities, partly funded by the National Endowment for the Arts; the Harold and Vivian Shapiro/John Malik Award and Jean Paul Slusser Fellowships, University of Michigan. His creative works have been shown nationally and internationally, including at the Lumen Prize Exhibition in Shanghai, Hong Kong; the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art; the Tank Space for Performing and Visual Arts and the Philoctetes Center in NYC.
